Meet Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca Riley — founder of Deeply Rooted Christian Coaching and Deeply Rooted Ministries.

 

I’m a former educator and school counselor turned life coach, ministry leader, and writer with one simple passion: helping people get free at the root.

 

For over 13 years, I worked in education — seven of those as a school counselor — walking with students and families through anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, faith questions, and major life transitions. I loved the work deeply. But over time, I began to sense that something was missing.

 

I could help people cope.
I could help them manage symptoms.
But I couldn’t always help them experience lasting freedom.

 

At the same time, God was doing a deep healing work in my own life.

 

Through my personal journey with anxiety, control, addiction, rigid religion, and learning to fully surrender to Jesus, I experienced something that changed everything: real transformation doesn’t happen through willpower alone — it happens when truth reaches the root.

 

That’s when Deeply Rooted was born.

 

My Approach

 

My coaching is rooted in a unique blend of three foundations:

  • A strong background in mental health and trauma-informed care
  • A deep commitment to the authority of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ
  • And a Spirit-led, Holy Spirit-dependent approach to inner healing and identity

 

I want to be very clear about something important:

You do not have to be a Christian to work with me.


Many of the school counselors and professionals I mentor come from a wide range of faith backgrounds.

 

My coaching is faith-based, which means my framework, values, and worldview are grounded in my relationship with Jesus and the Bible. But I meet every client with deep respect, professionalism, and care — and I never force faith, theology, or spiritual practices on anyone.

 

I believe Jesus is the healer.

 

I don’t heal anyone.
I don’t fix people.
And I don’t perform anything dramatic.

 

My role is to help create a safe, grounded space where the Holy Spirit can gently reveal truth, remove false roots planted through trauma, rigid religion, painful experiences, or limiting beliefs, and replace them with what God has always said about you.

 

People often leave coaching with:

  • A stronger sense of identity
  • Greater clarity and emotional peace
  • Deeper connection with God (if faith is part of their journey)
  • And lasting freedom that continues beyond the session
